Company History
In 1947, Russ Lyon Realty Company was founded in Phoenix by Russell Lyon, Sr. Formerly an executive with Music Corporation of America (MCA) in New York City, Russ decided to move his wife and two sons to California in early 1947. During a brief detour through Phoenix, Russ and his family stopped to enjoy the eminent orange blossom season. It was then that they realized the Valley would be their new home and the prospect of a California residence soon became a memory. Shortly after buying a home in Scottsdale, Russ took an avid interest in real estate and by December, Russ had acquired his real estate license and opened Russ Lyon Realty Company's first office in Scottsdale. Russ Lyon Realty Company started with only three employees but because of vision, determination and a fervent interest in the growth of the community, the Company quickly became a dominant force in the Valley's luxury home real estate market.
Russ Lyon Realty Company has evolved from its beginnings in 1947 into a state-wide professional real estate Company operating 10 offices in the Valley as well as 4 independently owned and operated franchises in Prescott, Sedona and Flagstaff, with total Company revenues exceeding $1.9 billion. Today, more than 650 licensed sales associates provide real estate transactional services to more than 4,000 clients.

Russ Lyon Mortgage enables the Russ Lyon Realty Company sales associate to coordinate the financing process between the client and the loan officer. Russ Lyon Mortgage not only offers pre-qualification and competitive rates but guarantees that the transaction will be closed in a timely manner. Russ Lyon Realty Company partnered with First American Title Insurance Company, the largest domestic Title Company in Arizona, to form Russ Lyon Title, in order to provide a full range of closing and escrow services as well as policies of insurance. Russ Lyon Realty Company also offers complimentary home warranty coverage through its affiliation with First American Home Buyers Protection.* With respect to the one-stop shopping experience, Russ Lyon Realty Company has developed an environment that allows our clients to enjoy a stress free home buying or selling experience coordinated by a professional sales associate.
